Full House: Rock & Roll with DJ
Synopsis: DJ lands her dream job interviewing a famous rockstar, but wrestles with her strict dad Danny's disapproval of the musician's wild reputation. Meanwhile, Joey tries to impress a woman at the park with his knowledge of classical music, and Stephanie and Michelle turn the house into a spa.
Scene 1: The Tanner kitchen. DJ excitedly bursts in, holding a magazine.
DJ: Dad, guess what? I got the interview!
Danny: Interview for what, honey?
DJ: With Buzz McCoy! Lead singer of Demolition Crew!
Danny (grimaces): Demolition Crew? The one with the ripped clothes and the...loud music?
DJ: But Dad, they're amazing! Their new album is incredible.
Danny: I don't know, DJ. Sounds a little...unruly for you.
Scene 2: At the park, Joey attempts to impress a woman, Sarah, with his knowledge of music.
Joey: (air conducting) See, now that's a beautiful Mozart sonata!
Sarah: (confused) Is that a new dance craze?
Joey: No, no! It's music! Classical music! You know, Beethoven, Bach...
Sarah: (smiles politely) I see. Well, I should get going.
Scene 3: Back at home, Stephanie and Michelle transform the living room into a spa.
Stephanie: (wearing cucumbers over her eyes) This is so relaxing, Michelle.
Michelle: (塗抹 ni mo ma - applying) My mud mask feels tingly!
Danny (walking in): What in the world is going on here?
Scene 4: DJ interviews Buzz McCoy at a recording studio. Despite his rockstar image, Buzz is surprisingly down-to-earth and kind.
DJ: Thanks for taking the time to chat, Buzz.
Buzz: No problem, DJ! You're a great interviewer.
Scene 5: The Tanners gather around the TV to watch DJ's interview. They're surprised to see a thoughtful and articulate Buzz.
Danny: Wow, DJ. He seems...different than I thought.
DJ: I told you, Dad. He's really cool.
Scene 6: Sarah returns to the park and finds Joey by the swings.
Sarah: Hey there, music maestro!
Joey: (surprised) Sarah?
Sarah: I looked up some of those composers you mentioned. They're interesting!
Joey: You wanna hear more about Tchaikovsky over ice cream?
Scene 7: The Tanner family enjoys a pizza dinner, with Buzz McCoy's music playing in the background.
Danny: You know, DJ, maybe Demolition Crew's music isn't so bad after all.
DJ: (smiling) I told you, Dad!

This is something that has been on my mind for a long time. See, in season 2, episode 9 (the one where the whole family celebrates Christmas at the airport), Nick (Jesse's dad) says to Jesse "There are so many grandchildren here today, but none of them are mine." or something like that. So DJ, Stephanie and Mitchell weren't his grandchildren? Or is there something I'm missing here?

I thought that in one episode joey was played by a different actor
These two iconic family sitcoms have much more in common than you realize.
10. The two TV dads are close friends.
*Alan Thicke from Growing Pains and Bob Saget from Full House shared a friendship as they became two of TV memorable Dads. Bob Saget was there at Alan Thicke's memorial service following his passing in 2016 and Alan's son, Robin share d a tribute tweet following Bob's own passing in 2022.
9. Appearance on both shows.
*Kirk Cameron and Alan Thicke have made appearances separately on Full House and Fuller House. Plus, Joanna Kerns directed an episode of Fuller House. Andrea Barber and Candace Cameron Bure appeared in Growing Pains.
8. The middle sisters' off-screen problems.
*Although they play the brainy middle sisters, Tracey Gold from Growing Pains and Jodie Sweetin from Full House struggled with problems off-screen. Tracey suffered from Anorexia Nervosa and Jodie Sweetin had a drug problem. By the 2010 decade, they have both recovered and are now living happy lives.
7. Kirk Cameron and Chelsea Noble.
*Kirk and his wife Chelsea met on the set of Full House, when they made guest appearances on the then-fledging show. Kirk played D.J.'s cousin, a common factor to actor's appearing on their sibling's show. Chelsea played one of Uncle Jesse's season 1 girlfriends.
6. The Growing Pains movies and Fuller House.
*In the years following the end of both shows, both shows saw Jason Seaver and Danny Tanner become grandfathers.
5. They both tackled serious issues.
*Kirk and his sister, Candace were involved in the shows' serious episodes. For Kirk, it was Thank God it's Friday, where his character Mike attended a party where Cocaine was involved. Thankfully, he walked away from the party. After the end of the episode, Kirk talked about drugs in a PSA. Candace had to deal with her character's episode about drinking, where she was accused of drinking at a school dance by her Uncle Jesse. Thankfully, he apologizes to her and all is forgiven. Their tv sisters had to deal with drunk driving and child abuse.
4. John Stamos and Joanna Kerns did a TV movie together.
*John Stamos did a movie that was a far cry from his image of Uncle Jesse. Joanna Kerns co-star in the movie as well.
3. Both shows had Hawaiian themed episodes.
*Both Growing Pains and Full House did episodes where the Seaver and the Tanner families vacationed in Hawaii.
2. Candace Cameron Bure did a holiday movie with Alan Thicke.
*Candace got the chance to act alongside her brother's tv dad in the movie, Let it Snow on the Hallmark Channel. The two played father and daughter.
Both shows made Kirk and Candace teen idols.
*Candace had a recuring role on Growing Pains before Full House. Kirk appeared on the show hoping it could boost Full House's sagging ratings in his first season. Kirk's character on Full House was far different for that of Mike Seaver. While Growing Pains made Kirk teen idol of the 80's, Full House made his sister teen idol of the 90's.
Can you think of any connections Full House and Growing Pains have together?
I just realized something
Why does kimmy have a brother jimmy in fuller house but in full house it’s a different name
Danny Tanner was looking forward to spending some quality time with his three daughters, D.J., Stephanie, and Michelle, at their home in San Francisco. He had planned a special dinner, a movie night, and a surprise gift for each of them. He was sure they would love it.
However, things did not go as he expected. First, he found out that his brother-in-law Jesse had invited his band to rehearse in the living room, making a lot of noise and mess. Then, he discovered that his best friend Joey had brought home a stray dog, who proceeded to chew on the furniture and the gift boxes. And finally, he learned that his co-host Rebecca had an emergency and needed him to fill in for her on Wake Up, San Francisco the next morning.
Danny was frustrated and disappointed. He felt like he had no control over his own house and his own life. He decided to confront Jesse and Joey and tell them to leave. He also told his daughters that they would have to cancel their plans and go to bed early.
But as he was about to do so, he realized something. He looked around and saw that Jesse and Joey were not just his housemates, but his family. They had helped him raise his daughters after his wife's death, and they had always been there for him. He also saw that his daughters were not just his children, but his friends. They had grown up to be smart, kind, and funny girls, who made him proud every day.
He felt a surge of gratitude and love. He decided to change his mind and join the fun. He grabbed a guitar and sang along with Jesse's band. He petted the dog and played with him. He opened the gifts and hugged his daughters. He even agreed to host the show with Rebecca the next morning.
He realized that he had everything he ever wanted: a full house of love.

I have a few things I’d like to know about the character called “Tiffany” who is apparently Stephanie’s other child. Is Stephanie’s other kid canonically named Tiffany? Did I miss something? And why were they born in June of 2021, if Stephanie got pregnant in December of 2019, she should’ve given birth in September or August of 2020. Also, why did whoever created Tiffany add every single family member to the immediate family section?

So I’ve binge watched all 8 seasons of Full House recently, and I’ve just begun Fuller House, and I’ve just started on season 2. In the first episode of season 2, Jimmy Gibbler is introduced to be Kimmy’s friend. Of course we knew Kimmy had an older brother from Full House named Garth, but what about her supposed 3 sisters? Did the writers forget about them or not want to write them in? What happened?
I also obviously know that Michelle isn’t in Fuller House, but what about her other friends that could have been included, and why weren’t they? I feel like at least Teddy should’ve been included. If he is in future seasons, please tell me.
Also, this is very random, but I’d like to see a Christmas special with the cast of Fuller House and maybe we could even have someone playing Garth, Kimmy’s parents, and I feel like John Aprea could return again as Nick.
