In the kitchen, Michelle helps Becky fold the laundry, just as Stephanie comes home from school with a little something for her aunt (see below).
Plot Summary[]
Danny, Jesse, and Joey will be playing as the blue basketball team in a celebrity basketball game for a charity, appropriately called "Baskets for Bayview". D.J. is their head coach, with Kimmy coaching for their opponents, the yellow team. The first team to score 12 baskets/points is the winner.
Jesse agrees to take part in the game. The problem is, he clearly does not have any basketball skills. NBA superstar Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is the celebrity referee for the game, and Jesse gets some pointers from him. After that, Jesse sets out to prove to Nicky and Alex that he's not "a total loser." However, because of a trip to the restroom, Nicky and Alex are not looking when Jesse puts in the game-winning shot. Jesse attempts to score again after the game to show Nicky and Alex but surprisingly finds himself unable to score from his sweet spot again.
Also, Becky, who does not have the heart to be honest about an awful-looking blouse that Stephanie made for her at school, opts instead to wear it to the game. When a photographer attempts to take a photo of Becky at the game, she asks to put on a jacket first, which is overheard by Stephanie, who is sad and believes Becky hates the blouse. Becky admits that the blouse isn't her style but thinks Stephanie did a great job on it as the two hug it out and the photographer takes their photo.
Closing-credits scene[]
Instead of the stills normally seen, it shows Jesse replicating (or at least attempting to replicate) his winning shot for Becky and the twins to see (see Synopsis), and it is completely dark as it is now nighttime (from the cricket sounds). Unfortunately, the twins are fast asleep, and Becky can only watch her husband humiliate himself.
Guest star[]
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar appears as himself. Per D.J., he had the following accolades at the time of taping: the NBA's all-time leading scorer, voted MVP six times, and was considered one of the best players in the history of basketball. He played for the Milwaukee Bucks and LA Lakers, the latter of which he was part of the "Showtime" era with Magic Johnson.
