Val dances with Steph at the "Euphoria" night club in Funner House

  • Ukrainian-American professional dancer Valentin Chmerkovskiy, best known for his appearances in the U.S. version of Dancing with the Stars, makes an appearance as "Val" - a patron at the "Euphoria" night club where D.J., Stephanie, and Kimmy have their 'girl's night out' in Funner House. "Val" and his brother "Maks" (Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Valentin's real-life brother) hit on Stephanie and D.J. respectively, and then assist D.J. with Kimmy's "lift" finish to help them win the dance competition. While D.J. is dancing with Val's brother Maks, he asks her "Where'd you learn those moves?" to which she replies: "Oh, I watch Dancing with the Stars every week."

Pence talking to Stephanie in A Giant Leap

  • Hunter Pence - a two-time World Series champion right fielder for the San Francisco Giants - made a guest appearance in A Giant Leap as Stephanie's boyfriend. Pence invites the family to a Giants game, where he has arranged for Stephanie to sing "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" during the 7th inning stretch. As it turns out, Steph has been the jinx preventing Hunter from getting any hits during the time they have been dating. For the good of the team, she breaks it off with Hunter, and he goes on to hit the game-winning home run (which Max catches). In reality, the episode was taped during the October 1, 2015 game vs. the Dodgers, and not only did Pence not play in the game due to an injury, but the Giants actually lost 3-2.
